Halal law in NJ: what's wrong?

1/31/06: We have just  completed a lengthy report on the 2000 NJ Halal law, which lacks enforcement due to a multitude of factors. AAF was solicited by the State of NJ to present a case for enforcing the law and the potential benefits to both consumers and corporations.

Here are some teasers for your consideration: The largest Halal Food company in North America is owned by non-Muslims! Did you also know that the certified slaughter houses in NJ provide only 60% of the Halal meat  sold in supposedly Halal meat  shops -leaving the remaining 40% to be questioned as to their Halal certification.
