Read president's message Mission Statement Knowledge is power but it remains useless if not translated into tangible political currency. The American Arab Forum, USA AAF, is a non-partisan and non-sectarian organization. We seek to foster and promote tolerance and understanding through education and shared projects. We endeavor to provide reliable and credible information and resources to and about the Arab-American community. We also seek to be a resource for public entities, media organizations, and researchers seeking accurate information about our community. What exists today is sporadic, lacks coherence and is limited both in scope and public access. Our mandate is to transform knowledge into power. It is often said that ignorance leads to stereotyping and discrimination. In some instances, lack of understanding has led to physical harm or even death of innocent civilians. This is painfully true in the case of Arab Americans. They have been vilified, their culture maligned, their loyalty questioned and patriotism doubted. Arab Americans must tell their true story of positive achievements, love for America and its ideals and values. Equally, fellow Americans need to judge our community based on its actual contributions to the making of America, not on preconceived complicity in acts or utterances not connected with its sense of justice and truth. To this end, the AAF endeavors to invest its energy and we invite you to join us as we make America a better place to call home. Arab American: I believe in you, and I believe in your destiny.
