Tell Senator Clinton that Israel's Occupation is the
worst kind of child abuse.

AAF views with grave concern the recent inflammatory comments
by Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), which overlooks the real cause of
incitement and violence in the Middle East. Paying homage to the annual
meeting of American Israel Public Interest Committee, AIPAC, Mrs. Clinton again
accused the Palestinian Authority, PA, of deliberately abusing
Palestinian children through its public institutions, namely school
textbooks and internet sites. These allegation have long been refuted by an
independent study authored by Professor Nathan Brown from George Washington
University. See below Clinton's statement as reported by the
Jewish Telegraphic Agency, JTA.
These charges ignore the real cause of violence and
'child abuse' befalling not only the Palestinian children but the almost
four million Palestinians languishing under Israel's military
occupation since 1967. We are certain that Palestinian textbooks can
be further improved and cleansed of anti Jewish sentiments but
so is to be said and demanded of Israeli textbooks. We should never
forget, however, that both Palestinian and Israeli children learn firsthand
about violence not from textbooks but from the horrible consequences of
Israeli's occupation of Arab lands.
We invite our supporters to contact Senator Clinton and
ask her to tell the truth and not to cower to Israeli propaganda.
In 2002, President Aref Assaf has confronted similar charges by the
Anti-Defamation League and we invite you to read it to better acquit
yourself. Click

Hillary Clinton: End Palestinian
incitement |

Incitement in Palestinian textbooks is tantamount to child abuse,
Sen. Hillary Clinton said.
http://www.jta.org/
Addressing the annual American Israel
Public Affairs Committee conference on Tuesday, hours before
thousands of delegates were to spend a day lobbying members of
Congress, the New York Democrat singled out incitement in her
speech.
“When it comes to children, whoever
those children are, shielding them from hate and violence should be
the number one priority of their families and their governments and
the entire global community to prevent this hatred from festering,”
Clinton said. “Using children as pawns in a political process is
tantamount to child abuse, and we must say it has to end now.”
Clinton welcomed the
removal of a link on a Palestinian Authority Web site to “The
Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” a notorious anti-Semitic tract,
but asked, “What was it doing there in the first place?” |
